Producing single or multi cavity shoe moulds in zinc, aluminium or bronze.

MCP have introduced a new complete package, single solution system for producing metal mould cavities and complex shaped engineering parts. The process, MCP Metal Part Casting, utilises lost wax or investment casting technology without the black magic or foundry expertise associated with this type of process. Basically the process begins with a CAD data file of the mould and / or the segments which require casting. There are two process chains which can be followed.

  1. Using none burn out models:

This type of model can be hand made or produced using many of the rapid prototyping processes available which will generate in many types of plastic material. These can be SLA, FDM, SLS nylon or Z Corp printing.

With this process chain it is necessary to produce a silicone mould and high-class castings or models in wax to achieve burn out models.

  2. Using burn out models produced by ThermoJet, Quick Cast, Solider or SLS in polystyrene.

The model in wax or in RP material is encapsulated in a ceramic solution under vacuum using the vacuum mixer of the package process. The models are burnt out overnight making metal casting possible the next day. Metal casting is done with the central piece of equipment. The Metal Part Casting unit is totally encapsulated and PLC controlled.
No fumes, no heat radiation, no dirt:

Designed for in-house casting of quick metal parts for users not experienced in casting high temperature metals. The casting equipment is totally encapsulated: No Heat Radiation - No Dirt - No Fumes

Casting takes place fully automatically within a 10 minute cycle. The ceramic can be removed within 1 hour. Metal Part Castings require no surface finishing whatsoever. Leather grain can be reproduced as easily as smooth surfaces. Since there is no distortion with this process, multi segment moulds can be produced quickly without any machining and are suited to heavy production or just for extremely quick prototyping and pre-series production.
