Gallium is a minor metal noted by its low melting point of 29.8 degC, the name being derived from Gallia, the Latin for France, which was where it was discovered.

By far the largest single use worldwide is in the manufacture of Gallium Arsenide for semiconductor applications, principally used in the telecommunication industry.

MCP manufacture a range of Gallium Chemicals for specific applications; these include;

  • Gallium Trichloride
  • Gallium Oxide
  • Gallium Nitrate

The material is produced for specific applications which include;

  • Catalysts
  • Ceramics
  • Organometallic manufacture for compound semiconductor MOCVD applications.

This latter is key to several important technologies including LED manufacture.
