Gallium is a minor metal noted by its low melting point of 29.8 degC, the name being derived from Gallia, the Latin for France, which was where it was discovered.

By far the largest single use worldwide is in the manufacture of Gallium Arsenide for semiconductor applications, principally for use in the telecommunication industry.

The MCP range of products, as manufactured at our modern facility pictured above, covers this market and several others, with the broad capability outlined below.

High Purity Gallium is available from 90% up to 99.999999% minimum purity.

Packaging is according to customer requirements but is commonly in polybottles of various sizes. Gallium Ingots and Gallium Pellets are also available from 1 gram upwards in a variety of shapes icluding rectangles, cylinders, rods and blocks.

Suitable packaging is used to ensure that the material does not melt before reaching the customer.

Principal applications include;

  • Compound Semiconductor Substrate Growth
  • Growth of Epitaxial layers by LPE & MBE
