Keeping it Clean ! Clean room compatibility combined with R&D laboratory sized foot-print mean that machines like the MCP 12/90 HSP are ideal for the production of componets such as canulars and catheters. Parts from 0.02 g to 12 grams can be produced in a wide range of engineering thermoplastics, including glass filled nylon, ABS, Noryl, Poly Carbonate, Acetal, PBT, Peek and PPS -plus biodegradable materials. Other important markets for the MCP 12/90 range include automotive and electronics manufacturing where machines have been installed for both trade moulders and at in-house facilities. Specific applications include, for a major Korean A/V manufacturer, the production of a small gear spool in Acetal on a 4 impression, three plate tool, holding a tolerance of +0.00mm -0.05mm on the internal diameter. The pneumatically controlled, 9 ton clamp force 12/90 HSP can deliver sprue or runnerless mouldings by injecting right up to the cavity with the machines integral hot tip, which significantly reduces material waste and component handling problems. Screw plasticising with a choice of screw ratios, and plunger injection control by linear transducers ensures and maintains high shot accuracy. Using only compressed air, single phase power and a supply of chilled water, the Machines are cost effective and easy to install. Tool changes take only 5 minutes and material changes as little as ten, reducing downtime significantly. A PLC driven touch screen control panel allows quick and easy setting of all moulding parameters. For customers demanding the ultimate in cleanliness, MCP has produced bespoke equipment such as several 12/90 HSP machines incorporating stainless steel for all metallic parts, and with an additional stainless hard coating applied to all components in the FDA approved injection unit. |
