New Lead Free Pewter Range

A range of new, lead free pewter alloys has been introduced. The new alloys have been formulated to meet the requirements of applications worldwide.

For the first time some of these alloys are available in sheet form and are produced in both imperial/metric sizes and gauges.

Also available are new lead free casting alloys, with work ongoing to develop more.

Sales Manager, Glyn Morgan, explains the reason behind the launch, "We are witnessing an increase in the demand for pewter's and casting alloys by manufacturers of jewellery, models and corporate gifts. Statuettes for promotional use by film companies, is also a new and fast growing application. With much of the latter aimed at children, there is a growing tendency to demand cleaner, non toxic alloys."
